iOS 6-6.0.1 Untethered Jailbreak Status Analysis and Tips to Get Jailbreak When Released

Unlike last year’s iOS 5 release, we still haven’t seen any signs of the awaited Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 6 running iPhone, iPad and iPod devices. While most of us wished for a Christmas miracle to bring a jailbreak gift, it didn’t happen either. So what’s the status of the update so far?, let’s analyse it.

Unlike Android users, to access basic features on iOS Jailbreak is of epic importance. Apple users on iOS 6 have grown restless with the lack of jailbreak that gave them access to stuff like the luxury of a Notification Center on the lock screen, new multitasking switcher offered by Auxo tweak etc which are easily available to mod on Android but Apple users became distant to all of these features ever since they got trapped into iOS 6 over the claim of having features like panoramic photoshoot, do not disturb, customized Alram Ringtone etc.

Regarding the progress, things have become much harder for hackers to break iOS 6 security protocols and regarding the upcoming iOS update, security researcher i0n1c believes that the upcoming iOS 6.1 will be even more tough to exploit. While the possibilities for iOS 6 jailbreak seems to be dim, a capable and dedicated team of hackers haven’t given up and are continuing to fight security protocols put up by Apple.

Jailbreaker David Wang (Planetbeing) is working on putting all the pieces of the puzzle together and it seems that he’s working on iOS v6.0.1  at the moment. It’s recommended for iOS users to stay away from iOS 6.0.2 update even though the dev speculates that iOS 6.0.2 would have minimal impact on covering exploits as Apple might play the dirty game once again by covering known exploits and make things even harder.

Also, in addition to abstaining from iOS 6.0.2 (if you can), it’s advised that you stay away from iOS 6.1 update as well when it goes public or you might get stuck in Apple’s ridiculous limitations. At the moment, it seems like devs have barely scratched the surface and the jailbreak release might see the light after a very long period.

On a side note, beware of scammers that claim to have untethered jailbreak solution for a certain price. Remember there is no cost to get jailbreak and to make sure you’re getting the right version of Jailbreak utility, keep checking Chiphazard for more details.
