Apple iPhone users on iOS 6 facing the DND (do not disturb) bug will automatically receive a fix this coming Monday (7th Jan), until then you have to manually turn off the DND feature to receive notifications.
The Fruit giant has finally acknowledged this annoying DND related bug which caused iOS 6 users to not receive any notifications from their loved ones. Instead of fixing this minor bug with a simple update, they published a support document which caters the solution for the bug.
Do Not Disturb scheduling feature will resume normal functionality after January 7, 2013. Before this date, you should manually turn the Do Not Disturb feature on or off.
This isn’t something you expect from a company that sells over-priced premium smartphones which recently got a decade old feature introduced in iOS 6 with such annoying bugs!. But hey!, according to them it’s still the most awesome iPhone yet, who are we to judge.
If it were just a one-day glitch, maybe then things might not seem so odd but this problem prevailed for a longer time and users kept complaining but to no avail. Oh well, it’s not the first time Apple made a big boo boo and dodged the bullet, remember Apple Maps?.
Since Appe isn’t going to anything to fix this issue, just turn the scheduling feature off by navigating to Settings > Notifications > Do Not Disturb and switch Scheduled to Off.
