Samsung has released a new Jelly Bean 4.1.2 Firmware update for Galaxy S3 that fixes the sudden Shut down, Reboot and Exynos 4 vulnerability bug that prevailed in the intentional version (Exynos) of Galaxy S3 devices.

This firmware update version I9300XXELLA has only been rolled for users residing in United kingdom (BTU) so you can update to the latest firmware via OTA or Kies if you’re located in that geographic area. However, this firmware can be installed on any International version of the Galaxy S3 so you can manually flash this firmware via odin.

Following are the details of the firmware:-

Android Version: 4.1.2 – Build JZO54K
PDA: I9300XXELLA
CSC: I9300OXAELLA
MODEM: I9300XXELLA
Build Date: 22-12-12
Change list: 742798

This firmware fixes the Exynos 4 vulnerability that could give root permissions to *any* app without your consent. Also this firmware comes with new Bootloader files that fixes the sudden shutdown and reboot  bugs faced by some Galaxy S3 users.

It’s recommended to update your device to this latest version ASAP, if this update isn’t available to your device via OTA or Kies then download the firmware from the link below and flash it via odin.
