Following up with the release of iOS 6.1.1 for iPhone 4S, evad3rs have released an updated evasi0n version 1.3 that adds the capability of jailbreaking iPhone 4S devices running the latest iOS firmware by Apple.
The sudden update that Apple pushed out for iPhone 4S reportedly fixes 3G issues that iPhone 4S users encountered. Even though the latest iOS firmware didn’t patch the exploits used by evasi0n 1.2, the tool couldn’t be used to jailbreak since it had not the capability of identifying the latest iOS release.
If you’re on iOS 6.1 and aren’t having any problems, then don’t update your device to iOS 6.1.1. However, if you’re encountering problems then update your device via iTunes (not via OTA) and then jailbreak using freshly baked evasi0n 1.3 jailbreak tool. Download it from the link below.
